There is no dedicated digital nomad visa for Ethiopia. Working on a tourist visa is technically not permitted. For short stays, enforcement is minimal, but long-term remote workers should explore a business visa or consult an immigration attorney for the most appropriate visa category.
Visa extensions can be obtained at the Immigration, Nationality and Vital Events Agency (INVEA) office in Addis Ababa. Apply before your current visa expires. Extensions are generally available for tourist visas up to a total stay of 90 days.
