Israel Visa for German Citizens
German citizens need an eVisa to visit Israel. The permitted stay is up to 90 days. ETA-IL 90 days 3 months for tourism only. German citizens born before 1 January 1928 need a visa which will be issued for free if one was not a member of the Nazi party or involved in crimes committed during the time of Nazi Germany. Starting June 1st, 2024, the ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorisation) will open for application submissions as a pilot program for German and American citizens. Applying will be voluntary and exempt from fees. The system will open to other nationalities on July 1st, 2024. Updated July 2026.
